The country has already faced two lockdowns and whether there will be a third lockdown in 2021 is unknown.<\/p>\n<p>Covid-19 has had a huge effect on our lives and it\u2019s also affected real estate on the French Riviera. However, it can be frustrating to keep up to date with all the restrictions and changes and for that reason weve created a life to keep you informed about the current regulations in France.<\/p>\n<h2>Curfew<\/h2>\n<p>A curfew has been set in place from 8 PM to 6 AM in most departments. In areas with a higher virus count, curfew is from 6 PM to 6 AM. Exemption from this curfew is only for those who present a certificate that proves they&#8217;re :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Traveling for work or education related reasons<\/li>\n<li>Attending to medical appointments that cannot be carried out virtually<\/li>\n<li>Having necessary family matters such as assisting an elderly\/handicapped family member<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out missions of governmental authority<\/li>\n<li>Summoned by judicial or governmental authority<\/li>\n<li>Walking their pet(s) within the maximum 1 km radius between from where they currently reside<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Schools<\/h2>\n<p>School levels from kinder garden up to the final year of high school remain in session. Masks are mandatory for all children above the age of 6.<\/p>\n<p>University degree level studies have all moved online.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Shops<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The French Government has a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.service-public.fr\/particuliers\/actualites\/A14417\"> <strong>list<\/strong><\/a> of businesses that are legally allowed to remain open and those that will remain closed.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses allowed to be open are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Food shops (supermarkets, health food stores, meat shops, markets,\u00a0 convenience stores etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Retail businesses (clothing store, salons, barber shops, malls etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Cultural shops (libraries, art galleries, record stores etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Places of Worship (churches, mosques, synagogues etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Real Estate agencies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Travel<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Travel is open both internally in the European Union and from the UK as long as you present a negative Covid-19 PCR test. For international travel you must provide a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.interieur.gouv.fr\/Actualites\/L-actu-du-Ministere\/Attestation-de-deplacement-et-de-voyage\">travel certificate<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and state that you will self-isolate for 7 days and carry out a PCR test at the beginning and end of your stay.<\/p>\n<h2>Covid-19 Safety Advice<\/h2>\n<p>Make sure to stay safe by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wash or sanitize your hands frequently<\/li>\n<li>Do not touch your face<\/li>\n<li>Wear a mask<\/li>\n<li>Practice social distancing<\/li>\n<li>Refrain from shaking hands and\/or greeting people<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Another recommendation is to download the app<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gouvernement.fr\/info-coronavirus\/tousanticovid\"> Anticovid<\/a><\/strong> to protect yourself and others around you.<\/p>\n<p>This information was updated on January 20th, 2021.<\/p>\n<h2>Current Real Estate Market on the French Riviera<\/h2>\n<p>Real estate agencies on the French Riviera are not shutting down their services.
