Mougins, Valbonne and its surroundings

Mougins and Valbonne are situated on the edges of the protected Valmasque forest. The village of Mougins, a quick 15mn from Cannes, is famous for its art galleries, great restaurants and charming narrow streets.

The village of Mougins, a quick 15min drive from Cannes, is famous for it's art galleries, great restaurants and charming narrow streets. The perched village is surrounded by a range of luxury villas, some with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. Two of the best golf courses in France are located here.

Valbonne, bordering the river la Brague, is a charming French village that contrast from traditionally perched villages. Indeed, monks designed the village a few centuries ago with straight alley ways and streets, giving the village an unusual rectangular shape. Valbonne offers art galleries, restaurants and all types of shops. A market that is spread all over the village is held every Friday between 8.00 and 14.00. It features locally produced food, clothes and even antiques. 

Sophia Antipolis, a modern technological area nicknamed “France’s Silicon Valley”, which houses hundreds of companies and also universities with focus on science and engineering. 

Other charming towns in this area also include: Mouans-Sartoux, Plascassier, Pegomas, La Roquette-sur-Siagne and Biot. 

In one and half to two hours you reach the ski resorts Valberg, Val d’Allos and Isola 2000.
