How did you end up on the Riviera?

I came to Nice in 1990 to work for a Swedish tour operator. Of course, I was completely captivated by Nice and the Riviera. Shortly after, I started working as a freelance authorized guide.

How long have you lived in France?

I have lived for two years in Paris and just over 25 years here in Nice (2022).

What is your favorite beach on the Riviera?

Luxury for me is to be able to walk down to the Promenade des Anglais early in the morning and start the day with a long swim. I never get tired of looking at all the beautiful facades from the water.

What did you do before you started working for Wretman?

I have worked for many years in the travel industry, 5 years at an American cruise company where I was mainly ShoreExcursion Manager around the world. Has also worked as a guide and has been a broker in Nice for six years.

What is your favorite getaway on the Riviera?

A good combination is to walk around Cap Ferrat and then have a good lunch and swim in Villefranche or Beaulieu.

What do you think is the most important quality of being a good broker?

It is important to really listen to the customer, to understand what they want, as well as to guide foreign customers on how to buy and sell in France. The market in Nice is really special and it is important to find the right neighborhood, the right property and help the client throughout the entire process. French administration and mentality is not always easy to understand.
