The Swedish community on the French Riviera is continuing to grow, and it is not going unnoticed. Many Swedish people love spending time in the South of France, where they can find sunshine all year round and enjoy its rich culture.

The Lufthansa Group subsidiary Eurowings has decided to create a base in Stockholm with approximately 12 new connections to popular European destinations. One of these being a direct flight to the popular Nice Côte d’Azur Airport.

It seems the Lufthansa Group has been wanting to invest in Scandinavian countries for a while now. Several other airlines have taken a sudden interest in Stockholm. Ryanair and Finnair have also recently opened bases at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.

Eurowings new base in Stockholm is planned to be open by the 27th of March 2022.  This flight from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to the Nice Côte d’Azur Airport will have 4 flights scheduled per week on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

You can book your flight from now online and the one-way prices start at 499 SEK, which is 49.99 euros. Eurowings will now be in competition with airlines SAS Scandinavian and Norwegian when it comes to flying to the South of France.
